Cub Scouts is a year-round program that offers fun activities that promote character and leadership development.
Our program is designed to be hands-on, and parents are encouraged to play an active role in our programs.
Children in Kindergarten through high school are encouraged to join our Scouting organizations. Pack 76 is for those in Kindergarten through 5th grade and the Troop 76 is for kids 6th-12th grades. The scouts are very active in our community, helping with recycling at the can cage at the south end of town, participating in Scouting for Food in April, and doing several other community service projects throughout the year. Regular meetings are held on Monday evenings during the school year at the Mamrelund Lutheran Church basement. The Pack currently meets at 6:30PM, and the troop meets at 7:00PM. During the weekly meetings the kids learn many life skills, outdoor etiquette, and complete their many community service projects and advancement requirements. We pride ourselves on making learning fun for our participants. Several campouts are held throughout the year. In the summer, the boys enjoy attending activities like Storm Chasers Baseball games and resident camps up at Little Sioux Scout Camp and Camp Eagle.
